Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a treatment that creates microchannles/microperforations in the skin to stimulate the skin’s natural wound healing process. This causes tissue remodeling rich in collagen and elastin, without scarring. These proteins improve skin quality, texture, reduces acne scars and wrinkles. SkinPen treatment will leave skin looking more smooth, radiant and younger looking. The SkinPen is the first FDA cleared microneedling device and is safe for all skin types (Fitzpatrick I-VI). This is a minimally invasive, quick (30 minutes), relatively painless procedure with very little downtime.

  • The SkinPen is great for improving skin texture, large pores, acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, and stretch marks. One can expect to have redness for 1-4 hours following the procedure which improves to a lighter pink and usually resolves in 4-24 hours. Results generally last 6+ months. As the skin is always aging and changing maintenance treatments may be required. Initially, a series of three treatments is generally recommended for optimal results.
